Our

Classrooms

They are a place for study, for creative play, for respect for life and love of the land; a place for enquiry and practice, equipped with the tools of technology and marked by intelligence. They are fully equipped and have the technology they need.

We have a technology coordinator who trains, guides and helps bring teaching and learning up to date for students born into a digital world.

The school also has a laboratory, a computer room, a library, a multi-purpose hall, an assembly hall, a first aid room, an open space for physical education, covered and open playgrounds for break times, a snack bar and a dining room.

Area

Approach

First stage (Years 1 to 3)

Each class has a lead teacher who takes the daily curriculum subjects. In Year 1 there is also a teaching assistant who helps and supports the work in class.

  • Curriculum subjects: Language, Mathematics, Social Sciences, Knowledge of the World, Music, Art, Technology and Physical Education, which takes place at Club Banco Hipotecario, with school bus transport and teachers accompanying the children.
  • Additional subjects: English from Year 1, and Digital Education bringing artificial intelligence and robotics into the classroom.

Second stage (Years 4 to 7)

Teaching is organised by subject area according to the number of classes: usually one teacher for Language and Social Sciences and another for Mathematics and Natural Sciences.

  • Curriculum subjects: Language, Mathematics, Social Sciences, Natural Sciences, Music, Art, Technology and Physical Education.
  • Additional subjects: Introduction to Sport (football and hockey) and Citizenship, as well as Computing and Robotics.
  • Swimming: A year-long programme for Year 4 students, within the physical education curriculum.
  • Afternoons (full day until 16:30): Finishing the morning’s work and a different workshop each day — yoga, taekwondo, English, computing. Includes an afternoon snack in the dining room.

We place great value on the continuing training of our teaching team, so that they are better prepared in each specific area.
